WHO WE ARE

In 2022, Stephanie Lamb and her son Tyler decided to combine their love of freshwater fishing and all things Maine with their dedicated support of improving the lives of our veterans. From that vision was born The 207 Exchange.

 

The Lamb family has always believed in the mental and physical benefits of spending time outdoors making memories with family and friends. From their camp in southern Maine, they enjoyed hours of kayaking, swimming and fishing together. These special times created bonds and memories that will never fade. 

 

As a veteran and small business entrepreneur, Stephanie dreamed of creating a business that would help other people enjoy more time outdoors–without having to tackle the crowded aisles and impersonal service of the big box stores. At the same time, she wanted to do more to support other veterans trying to build their businesses.

 

Tyler, the founder of FishMe: Freshwater Fishing, learned his love of the outdoors at the knees of Stephanie and his father Jim. From a young age, he was particularly hooked on fishing. He would spend as much time as possible chasing lunkers in the local lakes, ponds and streams of southern Maine. He became frustrated that there wasn’t a local shop where he could get his fishing gear. While there was ample opportunity to pick up salt water gear, he wanted a small local shop where he could learn about what’s biting or find a quality guide for the day.

 

Together, they have created The 207 Exchange, where locals and visitors alike can stop by, enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a real Maine connection while they stock up on fishing gear, search out a beautiful Maine-made treasure or just while away some time playing cribbage by the fireplace.
